The School of Social Entrepreneurs are offering three levels of free investment to social enterprises. Whether you’re a startup or an established business, they are offering grants of up to £10k to propel you on your journey.
In partnership with the Lloyds Banking Group, the SSE is offering grants all across the country at three levels.
You can choose from ‘Start Up’, ‘Trade Up’ or ‘Scale Up’ - all different ways to support your growing business. It’s not just a grant though, it’s a course too.
You’ll also receive the following:
- A learning programme
- A grant of up to £10,000
- A community of people who run social and environmental projects
Your business needs to demonstrate that it provides social impact, and is dedicated to growing. The money can be used for marketing or scaling your business.
Some of the past participants have included Rebecca White, founder of ‘Your Own Place in Norfolk’ who is tackling homelessness among young people leaving the care system by increasing tenancy and independent living skills, employability, and financial literacy.
You can read the SSE Social Entrepreneurs Impact Report here. It’s a valuable guide to exactly how they can help you, what the course entails, how many people they have reached and how many more they intend to help.
Lloyds Banking Group have committed to reach 2,350 social entrepreneurs by 2020- a fantastic pledge in our opinion! They’re also joined by the National Bank of Scotland and The Big Lottery Fund, a well known organisation for providing social enterprise capital.
Do you need a financial boost? Are you in the UK and ready to commit your business to the next level of growth? Then apply to the programme! Hurry though, as applications need to be in by Wednesday 26th April 2017 at 1pm.
